Leveraging Media for Change: CSM Invited to Biden White House for Gun Violence Discussion

In September 2024, Michael J. Payton, Founder of CSUITEMUSIC, LLC, visited the White House to meet with the Office of Gun Violence Prevention and March Fourth to discuss the urgent need for common-sense gun laws. Surrounded by survivors of gun violence and advocates for change, the visit highlighted the importance of amplifying stories that inspire action and educate the public.

As a filmmaker and advocate, Michael leverages CSUITEMUSIC to address critical social issues and bring visibility to overlooked communities. This White House visit reinforced his commitment to using storytelling as a tool for meaningful change, particularly on issues like gun violence prevention.

CSM Invited by Pentagon and Department of Defense to Join JCOC Under President Biden's Administration: Raising Awareness About Military Service

In 2024, Michael J. Payton, Founder and CEO of CSUITEMUSIC, LLC, was selected to attend the prestigious 95th Joint Civilian Orientation Conference (JCOC), a program hosted by the U.S. Department of Defense under President Joe Biden’s administration. This recognition places CSUITEMUSIC among the nation’s most influential organizations, highlighting its commitment to impactful storytelling and community engagement.

Leveraging Star Power to Address Inequities in Education

In 2023, CSUITEMUSIC, LLC collaborated with the Shawn Carter Foundation, a nonprofit founded by Jay-Z and his mother, Gloria Carter, to produce a heartfelt video celebrating two decades of transformative impact. The commemorative video highlighted the Foundation’s work in providing educational opportunities, scholarships, and support to underserved communities, showcasing the profound difference it has made in countless lives. This project not only honored the legacy of the Shawn Carter Foundation but also inspired continued efforts toward empowering future generations through education and philanthropy.

Working with City of San Francisco on Community Trust and Public Safety

From 2023 to 2024, CSUITEMUSIC, LLC partnered with the San Francisco Police Department to produce a powerful documentary that seeks to bridge the divide between community and law enforcement. The film delves into critical issues of public safety, accountability, and community collaboration, highlighting efforts to build trust and foster meaningful dialogue. Through compelling storytelling and candid perspectives, the documentary aims to inspire understanding and promote solutions for a more unified and secure community.

Governor Newsom Launches Listos California to Prepare Vulnerable Communities

During times of a disaster, such as earthquakes, floods, wildfires, or the global pandemic, vulnerable communities are often hit the hardest and are the slowest to recover or receive relief. These communities include people of color, those living in poverty, older people, the disabled and people speaking limited English Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, CSM partnered with LISTOS California, a $50 million initiative of California Governor Gavin Newsom, to produce a number of short documentary films to tell the stories of preparedness disparities in underserved communities.
